Why archiving sits with licensing

Archiving a project returns its area to the license. That is the reason people do it, and the reason it is documented here rather than beside the other project settings.

When you archive, three numbers move together: the space meter, the team usage figure and the workspace row total. IA5-SET-AC-38 is explicit that they have to — somebody archives in order to watch a number go down.

Archiving is not deleting

This is the sentence to take away. Archiving is a capacity and visibility change, not a deletion. Nothing is sent to Trash, nothing is purged, and every capture, note and design file is intact when the project is activated again.

Where you can archive, and where you can bring it back

Archiving is reachable from two places — the license allocation table and the project detail panel — and both perform the same state transition: active to archived. It is not a license-specific status.

Coming back is not symmetrical. IA5-SET-AC-38 notes that the license page is currently the only route back.

An archived project everywhere else

The project reads as archived across the product: on the Workspace Projects cards, in the Active / Archived filter, and in the workspace project count.
