About the screenshots in this article. Some were captured through a development harness that can put the app into a given state directly. A screenshot proves the screen exists and what it contains; it does not prove that state is what you will meet by default.
When to use this instead
Use Upload 360° Files when the capture was shot straight on the camera and the CupixCapture app was never involved. There is no capture data to continue from, so you tell Connect what the camera was and where the result belongs.
Choose the camera
The first step is a camera picker, and it is a compatibility gate rather than a preference.
| Supported | Model |
|---|---|
| Insta360 | X4 · X5 |
| Insta360 | ONE RS 1" · X2 |
| RICOH | THETA X |
The panel also names what is not supported, which saves a wasted upload: Insta360 GO 2/3, ONE RS, ONE X, RICOH THETA V/S/SC.
An Upload files directly link skips the picker for the case where you already know the files are right.
What one file may contain
The constraints are stated on the drop panel and they change what you get back, so they are worth reading before a long shoot rather than after.
| Constraint | Detail |
|---|---|
| Maximum length | 60 minutes of video. |
| Up to 20 minutes | Produces a 360° tour and a 3D Map. |
| 20 to 60 minutes | Produces a 360° tour only — no 3D Map. |
| Format | insv. |
If you need the 3D Map, keep each file under 20 minutes. That is the whole practical content of this screen.
Say where it lands, then upload
The Area Info step is the same one every upload uses — workspace, project, Site or Building, an existing capture or a new one, and a level for buildings. See Choose where an upload lands.
The capture dropdown lists the project's existing dates so you can add to a visit rather than creating a new one.
Progress is shown as a percentage with the transferred and total size.
